Gary Johnson
Gary Johnson is a Fayetteville, AR resident and self-taught artist, who now teaches classes and workshops. Educated in engineering and business with both bachelors and masters degrees he’s traveled extensively and taken workshops to help develop new ideas for his art by being a keen observer of surroundings he visits and paying particular attention to color, shape, and value. He is a Signature Member in the SCWS, KWS, WHS, and MSW.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
I’ve created a new workshop in watercolor that I think most people who paint both abstract and representational art will greatly appreciate and enjoy. We’ll create an intuitive-abstract initially and then modify it by developing a representational approach to our paintings employing gouache as a wash over some of the abstract initially created. No stress, no errors, no fuss, just good approaches as well as useful techniques that can apply to painting not only still life, florals and etc. but just about anything else that you might like to “mix up”.
