What is the definition of a studio class?

I see it as something like an apprenticeship.

Charles Gleyre was a well-established painter in the mid 1800’s. He had a studio in Paris, and painters flocked to his studio because he had an open door, and because he let them pay whatever they could afford to share the studio with him and receive his critiques and person guidance. Artists like Monet, Whistler and Fantin-Latour all credit that shared studio environment as instrumental to their emergence.

Our studio classes are half day where you can come and just paint whatever you like, in whatever medium you want, but WITH me, and as you need help, I give it. Any demos or lectures will just be spontaneous instead of scheduled, although I will always have a painting going so you can watch as much as you want.
